3901 defaults to use DHCP for the 

MANAGEMENT

 Ethernet port address 

negotiation, but this can be overridden and a static IP address can be specified if 

required.

• The management port handles card configuration and upgrade, as well as NMOS IS-04 

and IS

05 communications with the NMOS registry. 

• The Ethernet configuration for this port can also be set through the frame’s control 

panel. This is useful when the card is first installed in the frame, to make it quickly 

operational. See

For a IQUCP25:

• The 

Ethernet Gb 

page displays details and the status of the ‘card front’ Ethernet port of 

the IQUCP Card. This is for Grass Valley engineering use only.

• The IQUCP25 defaults to use DHCP for the ‘card front’ Ethernet port address 

negotiation, but this can be overridden and a static IP address can be specified if 

required.

Only make changes to the Ethernet settings during off hours as any settings change will 

take the card offline for up to 30 seconds.
