Use packet transmissions and press the PushTalk key to make calls easily. Connect to
another person or multiple persons.
Only one person can speak at once. Press
\
to speak.
Voice can only be transmitted when granted the right to speak. While
\
is pressed, other people’s voices are inaudible.
PushTalk charges are incurred for the caller while
&
is pressed and right to speak is being granted.
Save PushTalk phonebook entries to easily call those members.
Sending PushTalk Transmissions

In stand-by, dial the phone number.
Also send PushTalk transmissions from the PushTalk phonebook. (

When a short sequence of beeps that indicates the other party has replied
sounds,

To switch to hands-free, press

appears. Select Yes and press

A short sequence of beeps that indicates the right to speak has been granted sounds and Myself is
shown for the speaker’s name.
An error tone sounds if

is pressed while another person is speaking.

when finished speaking. A short sequence of beeps sounds.

to end the conversation.
The number of times the right to speak was granted is shown and the stand-by display reappears.
Note
PushTalk calls cannot be made to emergency numbers (110, 119, and 118).
There is a time limit when speaking. When a long sequence of beeps that indicates the limit has been reached
sounds, the right to speak is released.

Speaker’s name: Name of the person who is talking
Myself: When you are the speaker (has the right to speak)
No display: Nobody is speaking
Name appears if saved in the FOMA terminal handset
phonebook. If the call is transmitted from a network phonebook,
the name saved in the network phonebook appears.

Recipient’s name
Name appears if saved in the FOMA terminal handset
phonebook. If the call is transmitted from a network phonebook,
the name saved in the network phonebook appears.

Status of members: Transmission status of each member is
shown. If status changes while connected, a short sequence
of beeps that indicates the user has joined the transmission or
a different short sequence of beeps that indicates the user has
left the transmission sounds. Shown status is changed.
