When answering Videophone calls, both party’s images appear on the display.
Send a substitute image or Chara-den to the other party instead of one’s own image and answer the phone.
When receiving a Videophone call, use the flat-plug earphone/microphone with switch (sold separately)

P. 435) or use Hands-free (

P. 90) to talk while viewing each other’s image.
Receiving Videophone Calls

When a Videophone call is received, the ring tone sounds and the
picture light/called LED flashes.
When caller ID is sent, the phone number appears. If the other party’s name and
phone number are saved in the phonebook, they appear on the screen.

The other party’s image appears in the main screen and your image taken with
the camera appears in the sub screen.
While receiving a call, press

receive the call.

The default setting is

for Hands-free Videophone so when the call starts,

When a Videophone call is received during a voice call, the Videophone call can be received depending on
the subscription status of network services such as Call Waiting. When the Videophone call is answered,
the current voice call is disconnected.
If a Videophone call is received from a 901iS series or later Videophone supported model when Voice Mail
Service is set to
Activate
, after the set ringing time passes,
Redial using voice call
appears on the
caller’s screen and the call is disconnected. When a Videophone call is received from a pre-901iS series
model,
Connection failed
appears and the call is disconnected. Answer during the set ringing time to
connect call.
Even when Call Forwarding Service is set to
Activate
, the Videophone call is not forwarded if the set
forwarding destination is not set to a device that supports Videophone and conforms to the 3G-324M
standard (
n
P. 78). Check forwarding destination before setting.
When a Videophone call is received while in Public mode (Drive mode), the ring tone does not sound, and
the picture light/called LED does not flash. The call will be recorded in Received calls.
When images are not received from the other party, a black screen appears.
