There are only marginal edges, parallel to axis or with strong contrast, but zones
with grey pattern in the image.

Pattern matching cannot be used if there is an angular deviation / rotation of the part.

Detection of horizontal and/or vertical edges
The detection of edge should be used if:

l

a offset of the position occurs just in X- and / or Y- direction

l

there are edges with strong contrast , parallel to the axis
