Engine cannot be started up
In case the starter fails to rotate
If horn volume is low or the headlights darkle,
check the batteries first.
See Section 14.
If the battery is exhausted, perform bridging
start-up. If the cause is still not ascertained, contact
the local special service store for system inspection.
Danger
Do not conduct start up by pushing or pulling your
automobile; otherwise, your automobile may be
damaged or subjected to an accident.
In case the starter may rotate
1. Check the fuel gauge. If the pointer points to a
position below the "empty fuel " line, the fuel
tank
may
be
exhausted.
Conduct
fuel
charging-up.
2. If fuel is available inside the tank, do check
whether or not the spark plugs and ignition coil
are securely connected, and check whether or
not the ignition coil and harness connector are
properly connected.
Warning
If the engine cannot be started up still, or the MIL
flickers or goes on, the engine shall be
regulated or repaired. Contact the local special
service store immediately. If you continue driving
in such a case, the catalyst etc. may be severely
damaged.
