11.4 Virtual LAN Routing Commands   

 

This chapter provides a detailed explanation of the Virtual LAN Routing commands. The 
commands are divided by functionality into the following different groups:   

„

  Show commands are used to display switch settings, statistics and other information.   

„

  Configuration Commands are used to configure features and options of the switch. For every 

configuration command there is a show command that will display the configuration setting.   

„

  Copy commands are used to transfer configuration and informational files to and from the 

switch.  

11.4.1 vlan routing   

 

This command creates routing on a VLAN. The <vlanid> value has a range from 1 to 4094.   

Format  vlan routing <vlanid> 

Mode  VLAN Database

 

11.4.1.1 no vlan routing 

 

This command deletes routing on a VLAN. The <vlanid> value has a range from 1 to 4094.   

Format  no vlan routing <vlanid> 

Mode   VLAN Database

 

11.4.2 show ip vlan   

 

This command displays the VLAN routing information for all VLANs with routing enabled in the 
system.  

Format  show ip vlan  

 

Modes   Privileged EXEC  User EXEC 

 

MAC Address used by Routing VLANs   

Is the MAC Address associated with the internal 

bridge-router interface (IBRI). The same MAC Address is used by all VLAN routing interfaces. It will 
be displayed above the per-VLAN information.   

VLAN ID 

Is the identifier of the VLAN. 

Logical Interface 

Indicates the logical unit/slot/port associated with the VLAN routing interface. 

IP Address   

Displays the IP Address associated with this VLAN. 

Subnet Mask 

Indicates the subnet mask that is associated with this VLAN.
