Appendix M: H260 DVD Drive Unit (Model DR-1)
The DR-1 DVD drive unit is used to load DVD based content into one or more XD20 Media Players. A
single DR-1 can serve the needs of all XD20 units on a local network within a theatre. Note: There are
no user serviceable parts in the DR-1.
The DR-1 is powered via 12V output from an XD20 unit, so the drive unit should be mounted in a rack
near one of the XD20 units. The DR-1 has an Ethernet connector, for communication of data with one or
more XD20 players.
Due to the lengths of the supplied power and USB cables, we recommend mounting the DR-1
directly
above or below the XD20.
The front panel has three LEDs, indicating activity on drives A and B, and presence of power. Each drive
(A and B) has an Open/Close button.
The rear panel has a power connector (for 12V power IN from XD20) and a USB connector for data
communication to the XD20.
