5. Specifying Machine Settings
Priority Device
Specify the print timing for received print jobs.
1. Press the [Utility] key.
2. Touch [User Set].
3. Touch [User’s Choice].
4. Touch [Priority Device] on tab 6/6.
5. Select either “Copier” or “Printer”, and then touch [OK].
Copier: Printing begins after the data for all pages of the print job is received.
Printer: Printing begins after the data for one page of the print job is received.
6. Connecting the Cables
Use USB cable or LAN cable (either category 5 or 5e) to make the connections.
The USB connector and the connector for the LAN cable are at the rear of the machine.

LED Color Condition Meaning
Green Lit The LAN is connected correctly.
Off The copier has not been turned on.
The LAN is not connected correctly.
Flashing Data is being sent or received.
Red Lit Operating at 100 Mbps
Off Operating at 10 Mbps
Attach the ferrite cores to the USB cable and LAN cable as near as possible to the machine.
Use the cable ties to attach the ferrite cores to the USB and LAN cables so that the core does not
move out of position or fall off.
