Fault tracing 307
A2B3 Earth leakage Drive has detected load
unbalance typically due
to earth fault in motor or
motor cable.
Check there are no power factor
correction capacitors or surge
absorbers in motor cable.
Check for an earth fault in motor
or motor cables by measuring
the insulation resistances of
motor and motor cable. See
chapter
Electrical installation

Checking the insulation of
the assembly
in the Hardware
manual
of the drive. If an earth
fault is found, fix or change the
motor cable and/or motor.
If no earth fault can be detected,
contact your local ABB
representative.
A2B4 Short circuit Short-circuit in motor
cable(s) or motor. Check motor and motor cable
for cabling errors.
Check motor and motor cable
(including phasing and
delta/star connection).
Check for an earth fault in motor
or motor cables by measuring
