Name New Annotations
Provides three default choices for when to ask the user to name
a new annotation.
Always Ask
will open the annotation dialog
for every new annotation.
Ask for Points/Planes Only
will open
the dialog for those annotations – all others will simply receive
a default name (which can always be changed after).
Never Ask
never opens the annotation dialog when a new annotation is
created. A default name is simply assigned. Annotation names
can be edited afterwards, as always.
Target Triangles in Model
Specifies the target number of triangles, in thousands of
triangles, for VRML models created either with
3D Popup from
Region
or with the
Show Fit
step in range alignment. Large
numbers can create models with more detail at the cost of more
storage space and slower processing.
Bookmark Transition Time
Specifies the number of seconds to move from one
viewpoint to a bookmark’s viewpoint.
Options
Use Scan Wizard
When selected (with a check mark), SceneVision automatically
generates the file structure for scanning coordinates the names
of range and image files (as described in Sections 3.2.1 and
4.2). If not selected, the user creates all folders and filenames
(except for image numbering).
Keep Change Log
When selected (with a check mark) every change to a file is
saved in a text file with the same name as the scene and ending
in ‘.log’. Note that the changes are only entered into the log file
when the changed file is saved.
Dynamic Annotation Editing
When selected, moving an annotation in one window
will cause its representation in other windows to move
simultaneously. If not checked the others move when the action
is completed.
Camera Info File
Choose the default camera configuration file (.cfg). The default
is initially set to the original DeltaSphere system camera.
Choices include calibrated cameras ‘known’ to the software, an
Uncalibrated
option and
Other
for adding a new calibration
file.
Root Data Directory
Lists the default directory where all DeltaSphere data will be
stored.
Scan Defaults
This tab shows the default parameters that will appear when the
Scan tab is selected in SceneVision. To change the defaults, set
the parameters in the SceneVision Scan tab, and then select
Set
To Current
in this tab in Preferences.
