Position the Rotating Arm
The camera attaches to the rotating, ‘tee-shaped’ arm, which provides 3 different view
positions: level, upward-view and downward-view. To attach the camera, the rotating arm must
be in the downward-view position as shown in Figure 26. The view position is controlled by the
thumbscrew shown. To position the arm, remove the thumbscrew, rotate the arm upward, and
replace the thumbscrew in the topmost of the three holes. Screw in firmly. Notice how the hole
in the center of the cross-bar of the ‘T’, with the camera-mounting thumbscrew, is now easily
accessible.
Note: The camera-mount thumbscrew can be ‘stored’ in the tee-shaped arm by
positioning it in the upward-view. When in the downwar- view, the screw can be
removed. Do not let the screw fall onto the rotating mirror as it could scratch the
surface. You may want to rotate the mirror down to prevent this.
