shown in Figure 49.

Make Viewpoint from Photo
You can also create a Viewpoint that corresponds to the location of the camera for any aligned
photograph (see Section 10 for information about aligning photographs). To create the
viewpoint, right click on an aligned photo in the scene tree and select
Create Viewpoint
.
Alternatively, if the photo is opened in a window, select the window and select
Make Viewpoint
from Photo
from the Edit menu.
Fix Viewpoint View Mode
Fix Viewpoint
mode, found in the view menu, locks your viewpoint to a particular point in a
model. You can rotate your view at that point – but you cannot translate, or move, to a different
point. There are two ways to enter this mode. One is to select
Fix Viewpoint
from the View
menu. This will lock to your current position. Note that this does not create a Viewpoint as
described in the previous paragraphs.
The other is to double click on a ViewPoint in the model or in the scene tree. This will
immediately move your viewpoint to the specified location and lock it there. Note that you can
rotate using the mouse in the usual way – but it only rotates about the viewpoint.
When a Viewpoint is created, you specify only its location – not its direction. You can change
the view frustum’s direction by rotating to the desired view, right clicking on the name of the
