11.
If you cannot connect, make sure the cables are connected well and you’ve typed the new IP
address correctly.
12.
If network connections still do not work, then your new settings may not be correct.
You can start over by powering the DeltaSphere off and on again. It will have the old IP
address after a reboot.
13.
When the networking settings are tested and working, telnet to the DeltaSphere from a
machine with appropriate IP address and subnet (for the new IP address) and run the
command "backup_config". The backup_config command saves a copy of the files you just
changed for use after a reboot.
14.
Power-cycle the DeltaSphere and test that it responds to the new address.
15.
After changing the IP address, make sure to replace the sticker on the system with the new
information.

Using DHCP
It is possible to use DHCP with the DeltaSphere, but it doesn't fit our model of being able to
connect a laptop directly to the DeltaSphere device with a crossover cable. To use DHCP,
change /etc/network/ipv4/eth0 to be similar to the eth0.dhcp file in the same directory. Use the
same command as listed above to restart your network interface, and test. If it works, follow the
above directions for saving the configuration permanently.
