shaft. Remove the shafts from the machine and fill the holes in the base
with the grommets provided.
9. When the machine is in position, adjust the jacking screw to ensure that
the machine is stable and does not roll on it's wheels.
10. Connect the power cable and test the machine for function.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the DigiVAC from the mains power supply.
2. Remove all L/H and R/H side covers above control panel height.
3. Open the rear door and remove the rear conveyor (see Section 3.1.2).
4. Remove the joint plates that connect the top module to the bin module on
both the R/H and L/H sides of the machine.
5. Remove the angled suction tube support bracket on the R/H side of the
machine.
6. Remove the 6 (upper) screws that connect the top module to the bin mod-
ule.
7. Remove the top module and bin module drive belt tensioner plates (see

9. Lift off the top module and put aside. Take care not to damage the paper
control plate when putting the module down, it can be held up with either
tape or a cable tie if desired.
10. Lift on new 4 bin module.
11. Lift on top module.
12. Fit all the bin connecting screws.
13. Fit the new bin module drive belt using the spare pulley in the centre of the
top shaft. The bin module drive belt (for bins 5-8) must first be temporarily
removed from the pulley to allow this.
14. Fit the top module drive belt in the outer position. The idler gear has to be
moved to the outer position by removing the E clips, repositioning the idler
gear and refitting the E clips.
15. Refit all the belt tension plates and refit all screws.
16. Adjust the tension of the bin module drive belt (see Section 3.5.12)
17. Refit the module joint plates.
18. Refit the suction tube support bracket.
19. Fit the additional section of the rear door onto the hinge and secure it to the
existing door with 4 screws.
20. Fit the conveyor belts to the top shaft of the existing door by removing the
shaft and threading the new belts into position. The drive belt may need to
be slackened before this can be done (see Section 3.7.1) and (see Section
3.7.2).
21. Fit the rear conveyor extension by removing the top shaft of the existing
conveyor and threading the new top conveyor belts into position and then
refitting the shaft. The top section of the conveyor can then be fitted into
place being held together with the belt tension (see Section 3.5.15).
