Chapter 7 Installation

      

1. Ensure that the installation site is suitable. The floor surface must be solid

and level.

2. Check that the required machine input voltage is available. 

• The DigiVAC tower is 190-240V. 
• Online accessory equipment may be 115V or 230V.
Each DigiVAC tower and any online accessory equipment must always be
connected to separate mains power supplies. Never use extension cables to
supply more than one module in the system from the same supply socket.

Caution

The DigiVAC and accessory equipment must only be plugged into an electri-
cal supply line of the correct voltage and with a proven earth. Any damage
caused by failure to do so will not be covered by the guarantee. The required
machine voltage is shown on the voltage indicator label on unit.

3. Check that the environmental conditions are suitable for the DigiVAC

which is designed for the following environment:
• 10-35°C at 35-85% relative humidity

Procedure

1. Check that the ‘Tip n Tell’ indicator shows that the machine has been

transported in the vertical position and that it has not been dropped. Check
that the case has not been damaged.

Note: The case is constructed so that one side can be removed first. All remov-
able screws are marked with a red circle.

2. Remove the marked screws from the side of the case, and lift the side

away.

3. Remove the marked screws around the base of the case, and lift off the

remaining sides of the packing case.
