Watkiss DigiVAC Service Manual - Issue 2 - 29/11/04

Service Procedures 

• 

Base Module

3. Release the screw securing the air pipe at the top of the base unit.

4. Remove the lower section of air pipe taking care not to damage the small

air pressure sensing tube which is very delicate.

5. Disconnect the electrical connection to the motor.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor housing to the

machine base. Withdraw the motor and housing from the base. 

7. The housing can now be disassembled and the motor removed (11 x M5

socket cap screws).

8. Replacement of the blower motor is a direct reversal of the above proce-

dure.

3.6.8  Replacing the SMD 8200 Inverter

In the unlikely event that the Inverter is damaged or becomes faulty, it should
be replaced. The unit is factory configured and cannot be re-programmed.

Procedure

1. Switch off the DigiVAC and disconnect the mains power supply.
2. Loosen the two fixing screws and remove the LH side cover from the Base

Module.

3. Disconnect the Mains Input cable from the top of the Inverter.
4. Disconnect the Three-phase Output cable from the base of the Inverter.
5. Disconnect the Data cable from the Interface PCB beneath the Inverter.
6. Loosen the four fixing screws and remove the Inverter assembly from its

mounting bracket.

7. Replace the Inverter assembly and reassemble in the reverse order to the

removal procedure. 

8. Test machine.
