SMD 8200 Inverter

4.2.9  900-205a DigiVAC Release B Base Power PCB

This PCB is included in S/Nos. DIG/ 0000150 onwards only.   

 

The SMD 8200 Inverter is fitted to DigiVAC Base Module Rel.B (Serial No.
150 onwards). The inverter takes a single-phase 50/60Hz 180-264V AC elec-
trical supply and inverts it to 230V AC 50Hz three-phase output for the 3-
phase Drive Motor. Software V2.1a or later is required.

This ensures consistent revolution speed regardless of the load exerted on the
machine and is essential for two-tower operation. 

The inverter is a self-contained device, programmed in the factory with pre-set
parameters. 

On the front face of the inverter is a digital status display. Under normal oper-
ating conditions, the display will indicate:

 Hz (+/- 5.0Hz) whilst in operation

Error codes are displayed under certain conditions Section 8.3.
