6. Disconnect the vacuum pump electrical connector and place to one side.
7. Undo the three vacuum pump retaining screws and slide the pump away
from it's mounting bracket and pipe connection.
8. Carefully manoeuvre the vacuum pump assembly out of the base module.
9. Reassembly is the reverse order to the disassembly procedure.
3.6.4 Replacing Motor Tacho Sensor
Procedure
1. Remove the rear cover from the base module.
1. Remove the L/H side cover from the base module.
2. Disconnect the motor tacho lead from the 900-176 interface PCB (PL11)
and thread the cable through into centre of the machine.
3. Cut the two cable ties securing the sensor cable to the motor mounting
plate.
4. Remove the sensor by releasing the nylon retaining nuts (M10).
5. Replace the sensor by reversing the above procedure.
6. The sensor should be initially set so that there is a 1-2mm gap between the
sensor end and the magnet.
7. Check the sensor setting:
With the power switched on, manually turn the tacho magnet fixed to the
motor shaft. Check that the tacho sensor delivers 10 flashes per revolution
to LED12 on the 900-176 interface PCB. The Flashes should be on and off
evenly.
8. If necessary, adjust the sensor in or out a small amount until it operates
correctly.
