No test pulses when test pulse duration = 0 ms!

If you have set the test pulse duration of the digital power output to "0 ms (off)",
the PROFIsafe I/O module does not test the digital output cyclically (e.g., for an
short circuit or defect). The PROFIsafe I/O module only tests the digital power
outputs during a change of state. In this case, the digital power output only meets
the requirements for SIL3 according to EN 62061 or PL e according to EN ISO
13849-1 if the safe control switches off both digital power outputs at least every
24 hours at the same time for at least 1 second in an automatic test. The
PROFIsafe I/O module executes a test during the disconnection time and is
therefore able to detect errors at the outputs. Take into account the total time
needed to transfer the process image to the PROFIsafe I/O module when
configuring the disconnection time.

Short circuit proof line installation to the loads!

The short circuit between a digital power output of the PROFIsafe I/O module
and the load is identified by the PROFIsafe I/O module, but does not lead to a
safe shutdown of the connected load.
To prevent a short circuit between the connecting cables of the PROFIsafe I/O
module and the load to be switched, the lines must be installed protected between
the output of the PROFIsafe I/O module and the load according to 60204-1 or EN
ISO 13849-2 (e.g., as separate sheathed lines or in separate cable ducts).

Important information about achievable risk reduction!

Please note that diagnostic measures such as positively-driven relay contacts must
be read back via safe digital inputs depending on the safety application. Risk
reductions up to SIL3/Cat.4/PL e can be achieved with this configuration.

You can connect one or more loads between connections O2B and the 0V
potential of the field supply voltage using the PROFIsafe I/O module 750-
666/000-003 if you set the value of the

Output Configuration

parameter to

"H-Side/H-Side 1". In addition, connection O1A must be connected to connection
O2A. In this case, the load is switched ON or OFF by internal serial redundancy
two-channel.
