SMTP Options panel
The SMTP Options panel helps you create SMTP rules for inbound and outbound mail services.
Additional configuration options for SMTP rules are available through the Rule Property and Service
Group Property dialog boxes.

Field Description
SMTP mail services Creates SMTP rules for inbound and outbound mail services.
POP3 mail services Creates a POP3 rule for sending and receiving POP3 mail.
HTTP services Create a rule to allow internal users to have access to HTTP services.
FTP services Creates a rule to allow FTP services.

Field Description
Mail server IP
address or domain
name IP address or fully qualified domain name of your mail server.
This is usually an internal mail server that receives and sends mail for your company
domain.
Accept mail for the
following list of
domains Lets the security gateway accept mail from other domains.
Type the fully-qualified domain names of the domains from which you want to accept mail.
Separate each name with a comma.
The names you enter become recipient domains in the SMTP service group that is created
by the Firewall Rule Wizard.
This option is unchecked by default.
Apply antivirus
scanning Applies antivirus options to the rules created by the wizard.
This option is checked by default.
Apply antispam
filtering Applies antispam options to the rules created by the wizard.
This option is checked by default.
Outside Interface If more than one outside interface is enabled on the security gateway, specifies the
interface to be used with SMTP traffic.
When the security gateway is in a cluster, you can select from outside VIPs.
