Changing cluster settings
To change virtual IP addresses for clusters
1 In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Cluster, click VIPs .
2 In the right pane, in the VIPs window, in the Select interface for VIP list drop-down list, select the
interface that you want modify.
3 Do one or more of the following:
■
To associate a new VIP with the interface, in the VIP address text box, type the new VIP
address, and then click
Add .
■
To modify a VIP address, select it, make a change, and then click Modify .
■
To delete a VIP address, select it, and then click Delete .
4 Optionally, do one of the following:
■
To save your configuration now and activate later, on the toolbar, click Save .
■
To activate your configuration now, on the toolbar, click Activate .
When prompted to save your changes, click Yes .

Monitoring cluster processes
You can select different cluster processes to monitor at any time. For example, in deployment, where
the only purpose is to offer up Web pages and the http proxy becomes unavailable on one of the cluster
members, then the entire cluster signals the fault. The cluster status on the Cluster Member Settings
window displays that the cluster node is down and the reason displayed is “Cluster down (Process
Failed).”
Prerequisites
None.
To monitor cluster processes
1 In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Cluster, click Watchlist .

In the right pane, in the Watchlist window, specify processes that should be monitored.
3 Do one or more of the following:
■
To add a process to be monitored, in the Available list, select the process, and then use the
right arrow >> button to move it to the Selected list.
■
To remove a process from monitoring, in the Available list, select the process, and then use
the left arrow << button to move it to the Selected list.
■
To add a new process to the Available list, click Add New Process . In the Add Watched Process
dialog box, in the text box, type the name of the new process, and then click OK . Use the right
arrow >> button to move the new process to the Selected list.
4 Optionally, do one of the following:
■
To save your configuration now and activate later, on the toolbar, click Save .
■
To activate your configuration now, on the toolbar, click Activate .
When prompted to save your changes, click Yes .
