Making system changes with the System Setup Wizard

Click Next .
12 In the Confirmation panel, scroll to Network interfaces to review the summary the new network
interface.
13 Click Finish .
A message tells you that the security gateway will be rebooted in 30 seconds and asks if you want to
reboot immediately
14 If you do not want to wait for the reboot to start, click OK .
The Symantec Gateway Security 5000 Series v3.0 logon dialog box displays and the security
gateway reboots.
When the reboot has completed, you can log on to the SGMI again.
15 After adding the network interface, you can use it in the following ways:
■
In rules, as the point where traffic arrives at or leaves the security gateway
■
In clientless VPN profiles, as the location of the DHCP server
■
In host and subnet network entities, as the spoof protected interface
■
In security gateway network entities, to identify the security gateway
■
In redirected services, as the requested address
■
In address transforms, as the point where traffic arrives at or leaves the security gateway

Adding VLAN interfaces
To add VLAN interfaces, you run the System Setup Wizard.
Prerequisites
None.
To add VLAN interfaces
1
In the SGMI, in the Tools menu, click System Setup Wizard .
2 In the System Setup Wizard welcome panel, click Next .
3 In the Optional Features panel, click Next .
4 In the Setup Options panel, do one of the following:
■
To add a VLAN interface to an appliance that is not part of a cluster, click Standalone
gateway .
■
To add a VLAN interface to an appliance that is part of a cluster, click Cluster member .

Click Next .
6 In the Machine Settings panel, click Next .
