Proxy Properties: HTTP—Web Proxy tab
The Web Proxy tab lets you improve the performance of internal Web browsers by using an external
Web caching proxy.

Proxy Properties: HTTP—Additional HTTP Connection Ports tab
The Additional HTTP Connection Port tab lets you configure the HTTP proxy to listen for HTTP
requests that are sent on ports other than port 89, the default HTTP port.

The Additional HTTPS Connection Port tab lets you configure the HTTP proxy to listen for HTTPS

Proxy Properties: HTTP—Web Proxy tab
Field Description
External Web Proxy IP address of a Web caching proxy that maintains a cache of previously downloaded
materials. When users request cached materials, they receive them from the proxy at
this IP address, reducing network traffic to the Web server that normally handles the
HTTP request. The IP address you type here applies to all HTTP rules.
External Web Proxy Port Port on which to connect to the external Web proxy.
The default port is 8080.
