Machine Account Properties—Description tab

Optionally, provides an extended description. This information is useful to help track changes or it can
be used as criteria for searches.

The maximum length is 20,000 alphanumeric characters.

Advanced Options Properties—General tab

Use the Advanced Option Properties dialog box to view the properties of an advanced option or to
specify a new advanced option.

Lets the remote computer be used to view security gateway log files.

This option is checked by default.

Manage log

Lets the remote computer be used to access and manage security gateway log files.

This option is checked by default.

Provide IDS blacklist
entries

Lets the remote computer be used to add or change entries in the IDS blacklist file.

This option is checked by default.

When this option is checked, the following fields must be configured:

Pass entries on port
The port used to pass entries to the IDS blacklist file.

■

Entry lifetime (minutes)
The length of time (in minutes) the IDS blacklist entries are valid.
