To verify that the new interface has been added to the cluster configuration

In the SGMI, in the left pane, view the Cluster > NIC Monitoring window.

Removing a network interface from a cluster member
If your network environment changes, you may want to remove a network interface. Once the interface
is removed, run the Update Interface option from the Cluster menu to propagate the change.

Removing a network interface from a cluster member
Removing a network interface, includes the following tasks:

Setting the interface type
■
Updating the cluster configuration
To set the interface type to Not Used on the first cluster member

Log on to the first cluster member.

In the SGMI, on the Tool menu, click
System Setup Wizard
.

In the System Setup Wizard, click
Next
on each panel until the Network Interfaces panel displays.

In the Network Interfaces panel, select the interface that you want to remove.

In the Interface type drop-down list, select
Not Used
.

Click
Next
.

In the Confirmation panel, click
Finish
.
To update the cluster configuration
1
Ensure that all members of the cluster are up and running.

Log on to any cluster member.
The first cluster member you log on to is the member from which changes are made to the entire
cluster configuration.

In the SGMI, on the Tools menu, click
Cluster
>
Update Interfaces
.

On the Cluster Update Interface panel, click
Next
.

On the Confirmation panel, view the actions that will be taken by the cluster manager to verify the
interface configurations on the cluster members.

Click
Finish
.

When the configuration is complete, a message tells you that the cluster status has been updated.
To clear the message, click
OK
.

On the last cluster member that you update, reboot the cluster.
