Troubleshooting cluster configuration problems
Errors on the cluster member that propagates the configuration
Errors on the cluster member that propagates the configuration can cause the cluster configuration to
fail immediately. After you close an error message, possible reasons for cluster configuration failure
are displayed. You must correct the problem before you can continue to configure the cluster.
Errors when adding a cluster member
An error that occurs when you add a cluster member indicates a problem qualifying the remote
security gateway as a cluster member. A second message confirms that the member cannot be added.
You can continue configuring the cluster, but the member experiencing problems is not added. You can
fix the problems and add the member at a later time.

No license information
available. The local or remote host does not have
any license information. On each cluster member, run the System
Setup Wizard and install the HA/LB
license.
No heartbeat address was
found, you must define one
to continue. At least one interface on all cluster
members must have a heartbeat
address defined. On all cluster members, run the System
Setup Wizard to define the heartbeat
interface address.
There are pending changes.
Modifying the cluster
configuration will activate
those changes. Do you want
to continue? Pending changes must be discarded or
activated prior to joining a cluster.
This prevents you from deleting any
changes that you may want to activate. Yes: Activates the changes and continues
creating the cluster.
No: Displays the Cluster System
Configuration Failed screen.

connecting to a cluster member. Ensure that the network cables are
connected and the cluster member is
running.
The cluster must exist to perform
this operation. A cluster has not been created. Create a cluster prior to performing
this operation.
You should reboot all cluster
members to allow the security
gateway components to correctly
activate cluster support. Confirmation message after
completion of the form function. Reboot all cluster members.
