C H A P T E R

Removing and Replacing Hot-
Swappable Boards

This chapter provides instructions for removing and replacing hot-swappable
boards. This chapter contains the following topics:

Caution –

If you are just powering on your Netra CT server, do

not

remove or

install any boards in the system until you have verified that the system is completely
powered up. See

Section 2.2, “Verifying Full Power-Up” on page 2-6

for more

information.

Caution –

A thermal hazard is present if any I/O slots are left uncovered. If you

remove a board from an I/O slot, you must fill it with either a replacement board or
a filler panel.
