11-10 Courier User Handbook

11.7. Setting the default phone number for

live audio transmission

If you use a particular PhoneBook entry for the majority of your live audio
connections, you can configure it as a default number which can be dialled using
[Dial Default].

In the

Cut-List Mode

press the MENU button. Select [Setup], [PhoneBook] and

then [Set Live Default] :

Then select the default number, which you wish to use for the live audio transfers :

Select [Save] to save the default PhoneBook entry, or [Close] to exit without
making any changes.

To use a PhoneBook entry for live audio it must use the communication method of
[No Modem] where an external ISDN codec is being used, or [ISDN Internal] if the
internal Courier ISDN codec is being used (See section 11.1 for further
information).

Note : For live audio transfer over ISDN, it is assumed that the CO-ISDN
version of the Courier is being used and that you are using the internal ISDN
modem. If you want to use Courier by connecting the audio inputs and
outputs to a telephone hybrid and use the Courier for dialling, then select a
communication method of [No Modem]
