9.5.2. Entering the password at the [Setup]
menu
Once a password has been accepted by the Courier, every time that you select the
[Setup] menu, the Courier will ask you to enter a password :
Initially, the cursor rests on the first character. flashing alternately reverse and
normal video. Use the UP and DOWN arrows, or the SCRUB-WHEEL, to change
the character and the ENTER key to move on to the next character. Similarly to
setting the password, you can use any character in the range : A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9.
If the ENTER key is pressed without entering a character, or on entering a space
character, then the password is accepted and compared with the actual password.
If the password is correct, then the [Setup] sub-menu is displayed. If an incorrect
password is entered, you are returned to the
Cut-List Mode .
9.5.3. Entering an incorrect password
If you enter the Password incorrectly 4 times, then the Courier assumes that either
you have forgotten the password, or that the unit has been stolen. The following is
displayed :
For security reasons, you won’t now be able to enter the [Setup] menu until a
Password Code has been entered. Press the ENTER key to view the Code Word
and contact your dealer quoting the Code Word and the machine’s Serial Number.
Your dealer will give you a Password Code which you can enter in the following
screen, or any time that you try and enter the [Setup] menu :
