9. System settings and display
options
9.1. System settings
The [System] menu settings for the Courier are important when configuring the
machine, for entering the time and date, for reading and writing Setup configuration
files and for limiting access to the [Setup] menu by use of a password.
Loading new firmware into the machine, setting up the communications software
and providing access to the on-board [Diagnostics] are also included in the
[System] menu, these are covered in separate sections of this handbook.
9.2. Altering Courier’s clock
The Courier contains a real-time clock which is configured when the machine
leaves the factory. Depending on the temperature conditions in which your Courier
is stored, the clock may need to be adjusted from time to time.
Note : Courier does not automatically allow for daylight saving summer-time
and winter-time changes.
Note : Courier firmware is Year2000 compliant.
9.2.1. Selecting the date format
The date displayed in the Cut-List Mode and for cut properties can be set
depending on your preference. From the Cut-List Mode , press the MENU button
and select [Setup], [System] and [Date Format] :
DD = Day, MM = Month, YY = Year. Select your preferred date format, or select
[Close] to exit the menu without making any changes.
