8-4 Courier User Handbook
8.1.2. Renaming recordings already made
If you want to rename the first eight characters of a cut to whatever you like, you
can use the Rename command to do this. In the
Cut-List Mode
, highlight the cut
that you wish to rename and press the ENTER key. This displays the
Properties
Mode
:
Now press the MENU button to display the Properties menu :
Select [Rename] to show :
Use the UP and DOWN arrows, or the SCRUB-WHEEL, to change the character
and the ENTER key to accept it. You can use any character in the range : A - Z, 0 -
9, _ and @. Entering spaces (and any other illegal characters) is not allowed, so as
soon as a space is entered, the filename is complete.
If you want to quit from this screen at any time without making any changes, press
the MENU button.
On completion, the following screen is displayed :
[OK] renames the cut and also updates the references for any edit files that are
made from this file.
[Cancel] returns to the menu without renaming the file.
