10.1.2. Battery status icon

The 

Play, Record and Record Pause Mode

 displays feature a small battery icon

indicating the external battery life remaining.

Battery status icon

The icon has four bars for remaining capacity - as the battery life diminishes, the
battery becomes more hollow and flashes empty when the battery is almost fully
discharged. If the battery is missing, a cross appears instead of the battery symbol.

Battery Status

Battery has > 75% charge remaining
Battery has 50% > 75% charge remaining
Battery has 30% > 50% charge remaining
Battery has 10% > 30% charge remaining
Battery has < 10% charge remaining
No battery present

When the battery has only a few minutes remaining there is a software-set sharp
beep on the headphones and speaker, every ten seconds, so that you know that you
should change the battery. This is the case even while recording, although the beep
is not replicated on the audio which is recorded.
