5.8.8. Mpeg Coding

There are the two types of Mpeg coding to choose from [Encode and Limit] and
[DSP Encode Plus].

                         

[Encode & Limit] encodes the signal using original mpeg compression coding
whilst allowing the limit facility.
[DSP Encode Plus] allows the same compression size whilst improving the quality
of the recording.  This option uses more of the DSP encoding by eliminating the
limit facility

.

NOTE: If you wish to use the limiter feature the [DSP Encode Plus] option is
not suitable at the highest sample and bit rate.
