13.4. Script files
Script files are used by Courier when trying to initiate a modem transfer to a
secured host PC which requires a password, or set routing to enable it to receive a
file(s) from a remote location. See section 11.1.4 for more information on script
files.
You may require technical help with writing the script file for your particular host
computer. Please ask your Network Administrator, IT Manager or Internet
supervisor for further assistance.
A script file can be written using the CCM software. From the main menu, select
[Tools] and [Script Editor]. The following screen is displayed :
This is an ASCII script editor, with the usual features of [Open], [Save] and
[Close]. Along the top of the screen are buttons which add the commands as listed
below. You can use this screen to generate script files which can be downloaded to
the Courier.
All lines within the script file are sent to the host except Command lines which are
actioned. Commands are indicated by a * character as the first character on a line.
To send a line starting with the * character, enter the * character twice.
