Using The Instrument 3-32

Racal Instruments

2001

The Address field of the 5-byte segment table structure is
calculated as follows:

1. The start address for segment 1 is 0x1F4.

2. Compute the start address for segment n (where n > 1) using

the following equation:

ADDRESS(n) = ADDRESS(n-1) + (SIZE(n-1)/2)

For example, say you have 2 segments, the first is 10,000
points. The start address for segment number 2 is as follows:

ADDRES(2) = ADDRESS(1) + (SIZE(1)/2)

= 500 + 10000/2 = 500 + 5000; and in hex

= 0x1F4 + 0x1388 = 0x157C
