Troubleshooting

Poor precision

Poor drying conditions caus-
ing sample spattering. 

No rinse solution

 Remedy is to carefully moni-
tor the drying with a dental 
mirror and modify the time/
temp program in WinLab32 
for AA as needed. 

Fill the rinse bottle and prime 
the rinsing system correctly.

The autosampler pipet tip is 
partly blocked or damaged.

Make sure that the pipet tip 
and the sample tube are clean 
and undamaged. Replace 
them if necessary. See

Air bubbles in the pumps

Flush the air out of the

peaks cannot be avoided. The 
errors from multiple peaks are 
much less pronounced when 
integrated absorbance is used 
as opposed to peak height.

In many situations, raising the 
atomization temperature will 
eliminate the multiple peaks. 
Use appropriate matrix modi-
fiers, and Temperature Pro-
gram.
