Replacing CPUs

Note -

If the SP is configured to synchronize with a network time server using the Network

Time Protocol, the ILOM SP clock will be reset as soon as the server is powered on and

connected to the network.

If the SP is not configured to use NTP, you must reset the ILOM service

processor clock using the ILOM CLI or the web interface.

For instructions, refer to the ILOM 3.0 documentation.

Ensure that all power is removed from the server before removing or installing

a CPU. You must disconnect the power cables from the system before performing these

procedures.

Note -

When operating the system with one CPU, you must install a CPU filler cover in the

empty CPU slot.
