Description

The Sonic

1200S/HR instrument has the capability of being controlled and monitored by an

external computer or terminal. The RS-232C communication port allows an external device to

send commands to or obtain information from the Sonic

1200S/HR. With the exception of a

few controls, all operations available from the front panel are also available from the RS-232
interface.

Use of single quotes (‘) and double quotes (“) throughout this description are for the

purpose of discussion only. These two symbols are used to delineate specific characters and
character strings used in the RS-232 interface, and are NOT to be used in actual RS-232
communications.
