3.3.1 Menu operation
Most of the settings for this instrument are done by touch operation of menus and dialog windows on the
LCD screen. The basic menu operation is explained here.
A screen with no menus at all is presented immediately after startup, as shown below. For explanation, all
of the items of the measurement conditions display area are displayed.

■ Measurement conditions display area
The main current setting states (measurement conditions) are displayed in this area. The meanings of the
abbreviations and display items are described below.
[From the upper left]
• OSC
: This represents the current output state of the oscillator. In order from the left, the
frequency, waveform, AC voltage, and DC bias are displayed. The AC voltage and DC
bias are displayed as 0 V when the output is in the off state, regardless of the setting.
[From the lower left]
• SWP
: Displays the sweep resolution
• INTEG : Displays the number of integrations or the integration time
• ANALY : Displays the analysis mode
The following items are displayed when the respective functions are on and are not displayed when
the functions are off.
• CPRSN : This is displayed when the amplitude compression function (AMPLITUDE
COMPRESSION) is on.
• SLSWP : This is displayed when the automatic density sweep function (SLOW SWEEP) is on.
• EQ
: This is displayed when the equalizing function (EQUALIZING) is on.
