Introduction
The WiFi 6 AX1800 Dual Band Wireless Access Point Model WAX204, in this manual
referred to as the AP, supports 802.11ax high performance WiFi connectivity and
dual-band concurrent operation at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with a combined throughput of
1.8 Gbps (600 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1200 Mbps at 5 GHz). The AP is designed to function
standalone in a small office network or home network.
You can use the AP in its default router mode with its router features enabled, directly
connected to the Internet, for example through a modem. You can also use the AP in
access point (AP) mode, connected to a device that provides routing functions in your
network. In AP mode, the routing features of the AP are not required so they are masked
out in the AP’s local browser interface (UI).
