8.2.2 Triggering Scenes via MIDI
The MASCHINE hardware SCENE mode can be configured to send out MIDI (Notes/Program
Changes) which can be used to trigger scenes. When MASCHINE runs as a Plug-in this MIDI
data is sent to the host application. When MASCHINE runs as a stand-alone application this
MIDI data is send out to all activated MIDI output devices.
MIDI Scene Change program change messages can be used to record a Scene performance to
a host application, and all recorded Scene performances can be then be saved within your
DAW and sent back to MASCHINE for playback and trigger Scenes in the recorded order.
To send MIDI Scene Change messages:
1.
Click the cog wheel Icon in the Header of the MASCHINE software.
2. Select MIDI Scene Change .
3. Click Program Change .

MASCHINE will send Program Change messages when Scenes are triggered from the MA-
