CHECKING A PROGRAM WITHOUT CHUCKING A WORKPIECE
This section describes the procedure for checking tool paths by executing a program without a
workpiece clamped in the chuck.
When checking a program without chucking a workpiece, the spindle OFF mode function should
be made valid, and automatic operation is executed without spindle rotation and coolant supply to
check the tool offset amounts, interference between tools and a chuck (jaws), etc.
When the spindle OFF mode function is valid, the following M code commands are not executed in
automatic operation. Although axis movement commands are executed, the axes are moved at
the feedrate set by the OVERRIDE dial since the dry run function is valid.
