Tailstock Movement by Manual Operation
The procedure for moving the tailstock to the target position using manual operation is described
here.
Before positioning the saddle 1 to join it with the tailstock, first retract the X-axis in the
positive direction so that the turret head and other machine elements will not interfere
with the tailstock when the saddle 1 is moved to the joint position. Interference could
cause damage to the machine.
1)
Place the DOOR INTERLOCK key-switch in the
NORMAL
position.
2)
Close the front door.
3)
Place the PANEL key-switch in one of the positions
indicated below.
(ON)
(PANEL/EDIT)
4)
Press the HEAD CHANGE switch
(head 1) to
select turret 1.
5)
Select any of the following modes with the MODE
selection switch.
(jog)
(rapid traverse)
6)
Press the TSTMOD switch.
The indicator in this switch blinks.
If the TSTMOD switch is pressed again while the
indicator is blinking, the indicator goes off.
