Designating the Spindle and Turret Combinations
Machining by any combination between the turret and spindle is possible.
Before the execution of machining, it is necessary to designate which of the turrets is used for the
designation of a T code and to which of the turrets the designated T code is sent. A T code is used
for this designation.
There are four possible combinations between the turret and the spindle as shown below.
1.
Turret 1 for spindle 1
T0100 - T1200
M03 (M04), M13 (M14) (MC type)
2.
Turret 2 for spindle 1
T0100 - T1200
M03 (M04), M13 (M14) (MC type)
3.
Turret 1 for spindle 2
T3100 - T4200
M203 (M204), M13 (M14) (MC type)
4.
Turret 2 for spindle 2
T3100 - T4200
M203 (M204), M13 (M14) (MC type)
If an illegal combination of T and M codes is specified, an alarm occurs and the following error
message is displayed.
EX1321 CUTTING DIRECTION NOT MATCHED
A turret station number is displayed in the range from "1" to "12" and which of the spindles is
selected can be known from the T code number displayed on the screen.
