MANUAL OPERATION B-73
17)
Press and hold the AXIS DIRECTION switch of Z-
axis zero return.
As the axis approaches the zero point at the rapid
traverse rate, it decelerates automatically and stops
at the zero point.
Zero return must be carried out only after
unclamping the tailstock.
Axis movement is not possible in the zero return
mode unless the tailstock has been unclamped.
The STATUS indicator
[Z]
is lit when the turret 1 Z-
axis has been returned to the zero point.
The markers at the fixed side and the moving side
are aligned.
18)
Press the
(RESET) key.
The alarm message prompting zero return is
cleared and the setting for ZERO POINT ADJ. on
the OPERATION PANEL screen is automatically
returned to "INVALID".
The markers give only approximate zero point
position. Check to be sure that the zero point is at
the correct position after the completion of zero
return operation by referring to the axis travel
diagram.
The axis travel diagram is included in the
DRAWINGS provided separately.
19)
Press the TSCLP switch.
The tailstock is clamped; it is disconnected from the
saddle.
The indicator in the TSCLP switch is lit.
The tailstock joint position is established.
