Explanation of the operation devices

3-5 Backup switch panel

(T218081-027-0E)

(1) Backup switch

If the hydraulic pump and accelerator can no longer be controlled by the APC system, the error message appears

on the display.

When the "USE BACK UP SWITCH" message also appears, switch the "backup switch" to the "BACK UP"

position to temporarily continue operations.

・

Switching the "backup switch" to the "BACK UP" position disables control of the pump and

control of the engine speed using the accelerator dial, regardless of the type of malfunction.

・

When operating in the backup mode, the engine may stall or produce black smoke more often

than usual.

・

If the "backup switch" is used as instructed on the monitor, be sure to contact your authorised

KATO dealer.

・

Normally, conﬁrm that the switch is in the "AUTO" position and close the cover.

(2) Manual accelerator switch

You can use the manual accelerator switch when the backup switch is set to the "BACK UP" position.

Select the Hi (about 1700min

-1

) or Lo (low idle) mode.

Normally, conﬁrm that the switch is in the "Lo" position and close the cover.
