Every 500 hours of operation

When the engine power has decreased, you should replace the element cartridge even if it is not
yet the scheduled time.

(1) Inspection of the supply pump strainer

If loss of power occurs or the engine stops and the problem is not

resolved by replacing the fuel filter element, then replace the
supply pump strainer (integrated with the joint bolt).

Joint bolt tightening torque: 14.6

The supply pump strainer is built into the joint bolt that is installed in the supply pump inlet.

Do not attempt to remove the internal strainer. The integrated joint bolt cannot be
disassembled.

・

Be sure to install new replacement copper gasket whenever the fuel pipe is removed.

・

Install it so that its angle aligns with the fuel return pipe and tighten it to the speciﬁed torque.
