4. Inspection and servicing of each part
4-1-11 Electromagnetic fuel pump

(T218341-065-0E)

Cleaning the ﬁlter

Clean the ﬁlter element inside the fuel pump every 500 hours of

operation.

1) Disconnect the wires from the pump cover and use a wrench to

screw oﬀ the cover.

・

Be sure to replace the gasket and clean the magnet area on the interior side of the cover

whenever the ﬁlter is removed.

・

Use a container to carefully catch the fuel that spills out from the pump during disassembly

and prevent it from spilling on the engine, for example. Also, be careful of ignitions sources.

Use diesel fuel to clean the ﬁlter element removed and use compressed air to blow away any debris or other

matter.

3) Install the cover. Use a wrench to tighten it all the way.

・

Be sure to verify that the cover properly sealed after installation.

・

The replacement and cleaning intervals can be shortened depending on the fuel management

and replenishment situation.
