4. Inspection and servicing of each part

Using a special tool ﬁlter wrench, remove the case.

3) Replace the case and drain plug packings with new ones. Install a new element in the case, apply a thin coat of

fuel to the packing, and tighten the case in position.

When the packing comes into contact with the sealing surface, use the special tool ﬁlter wrench to tighten the

case further.

Note that the cartridge contains fuel in it. During removal, use care not to allow the surrounding

area to be dirtied with the fuel and be careful about an open ﬂame.

4) Bleed the system of air. See "4-1-8 (4) Bleeding the system of air".
(6) Replacement procedure
1)

Place a container under the fuel ﬁlter for catching spilled fuel.

2) Close the tab of the fuel cut valve.
3) Turn the drain plug counterclockwise to loosen it, thereby

discharging fuel from the case. After the fuel is discharged, turn
the drain plug clockwise to tighten it.

4) Using the special tool (provided), turn the case counterclockwise

and remove it.
Discharge any fuel left in the case.
