10-4 Handling near the sea shore

(1) Preparations for operation

Check that all plugs, cocks, caps and bolts etc. are correctly tightened so that salt cannot enter.

(2) Treatment after operation

After work, wash the machine carefully to remove salt, paying particular attention to the care of electrical devices

and hydraulic cylinders, to prevent corrosion. Also grease with care.

10-5 Handling in mud, rain, snow, zones of high humidity, on soft ground

Humidity and mud attack paint, wiring and metal parts causing corrosion. When working under site conditions such as
these, keep the machine as dry as possible and grease it thoroughly and carefully.

10-6 Handling in rocky ground

(1) Be alert for cracks, wear, breakage and loose bolts in the travel system such as the track shoes etc. Adjust the track

shoes to be slacker than usual.
